Final Report and Project Summary on the Repeater System Upgrades

Public Acknowledgment of Gratitude to the ARDC Foundation

The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club (SAARC) extends its deepest gratitude to the Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) Foundation for their generous grant funding, which has been instrumental in completing a critical infrastructure improvement project for our club.

With the ARDC Foundation’s support, we successfully executed a comprehensive overhaul of our communication network. This project included the removal, relocation, and reinstallation of our primary repeater to a more optimal location, significantly improving signal strength and coverage throughout the region. Additionally, we replaced an outdated repeater with a new, state-of-the-art system, ensuring enhanced reliability and performance for both routine and emergency communications.

As part of this initiative, we also installed a new repeater in Runnels County, expanding our reach into an underserved area. This addition provides much-needed communication capabilities to a broader segment of the region, strengthening connectivity and bolstering our ability to coordinate emergency responses across multiple counties. These enhancements further solidify our role as a vital communication hub for West Texas.

These upgrades represent a significant step forward in our mission to provide reliable communication services, particularly during emergencies and disaster response efforts. They also underscore our commitment to supporting amateur radio operators and fostering collaboration among communities.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the ARDC Foundation’s dedication to empowering amateur radio organizations and advancing communication technologies. On behalf of our members and the communities we serve, we sincerely thank the ARDC Foundation for making this transformative project a reality.

Sincerely,
The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club (SAARC)
