2022 Field Day, 6/25/22 1:00pm @ COSA EOC
Come join us for ARRL Field Day at 1:00 pm on June 25th! Our 2022 activities will take place at the City of San Angelo Emergency Operations Center (8485 Hangar Rd, San Angelo, TX 76904). Pictures from our 2021 Field Day festivities are at the end of this post.
Public Welcome – Come Learn about Ham Radio and Get on the Air!
Anyone interested all are welcome – even unlicensed people and youth! Anyone who wants to try ham radio can operate one of our get-on-the-air (GOTA) stations.
Celebrate Field Day by getting licensed or upgrading!
For those looking to get licensed, there is a license class on the evening of the 23rd & 24th, and morning of 25th at the SAARC clubhouse. The volunteer examiner team will run a testing session (also open to the public) at 1 PM, also at the Clubhouse.
POTLUCK AT 5 PM – Bring your favorite dish to share
The City of San Angelo has graciously agreed to host us for the third consecutive year at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). We will be operating under the W5SJT Call sign in support of the EOC amateur radio station, and will be entered in either the 3F or 4F class, along with other EOC-based stations operating field day!
